Lynne and Kevin - June 28, 2008

Lynne & Kevin were married at the Cliff House in Ogunquit, Maine. It was breathtakingly beautiful. And the weather held up for the outdoor ceremony.

Caty from Catharine Morris Photography came along with me to second shoot. This was our second time working together. I really enjoy shooting with her and hope she can join me again.

It was a fabulous wedding and the guests really had a great time out on the dance floor.

Going on vacation!!!

Christine and Andrew

I'm back! After a few months of maternity leave, I got back into the swing of things. Christine and Andrew's wedding was the perfect way to ease back into the season - they were so laid back.

The reception was at the Vesper Country Club in Tyngsboro. It was a beautiful day and a beautiful reception. You could really tell how much Christine and Andrew's families supported them and loved them.

I had the pleasure of working with Caty Morris of Caty Morris Photography. She was my second shooter for the day, and I really hope to work with her again soon.

Welcome Little One

Well, this is long overdue, seeing as Tilley is turning 10 weeks on Wednesday. It has been a life changing experience. She is a wonderful baby. We couldn't have asked for more.

I took the months of April and May off, but got back into the swing of things the last few weeks with weddings in Tewksbury and Ogunquit, ME. As much as I missed the little one - it was really great to get back to work.

Bridal Portraits

I offer engagement sessions, bridal portraits, and other portraits sessions for $275. Most people know about engagement sessions but are often asking me "What are bridal portraits" so I thought I would answer that question here.

You have just bought the most expensive dress you have ever purchased, and most likely ever will purchase. You looked high and low for that one perfect dress. Wouldn't it make sense to give the dress all the respect it deserves?

Bridal portraits are much more common down South. And coming from the South, I naturally offered these to my clients. But this is not so common here in New England.

On your wedding day, you are going full speed ahead. And while I try and take some time out to photograph you - the bride - many times its fast and rushed and hectic.

By scheduling a bridal portrait session, you are giving me, and yourself, time to capture beautiful, timeless portraits of you in your dress that you will have to cherish for the rest of your life. We'll do some traditional poses, some more modern poses - a little bit of everything. And we will always take care to keep the dress clean. For those concerned about getting the dress dirty - you can always schedule your session for after the wedding.

What about hair and make-up you ask? Well, I think the perfect time to schedule your bridal portraits is for the same day as you are getting your hair and make-up trials done.

If you're intesteted in bridal portraits, feel free to contact me with any questions you have!

Back From Tampa!

Okay, I was back three weeks ago, but with with post production and album design I'm behind here on the blog.

It was FANTASTIC! It was four days FILLED with information, techniques, networking, photo shoots and fun.

I have tons of pictures to share from a photoshoot I had with three brides - those will come later.

For now, I'm including pictures of me with two of my wedding photography idols, Yervant and Jerry Ghionis.

Both are out of Australia and are world famous for their wedding photography. And both are SO down to earth. I had a chance to talk with them - and I couldn't believe how nice they were! I had the pleasure of attending a seminar with Jerry Ghionis this summer - and was just blown away... so getting to hear him speak again was a real treat.

Here I am with Yervant http://www.yervant.com/main.htm

And with Jerry Ghionis. http://www.xsight.com.au/home.html

Where am I going????

I will be in Tampa the weekend of January 4th. I'll be there for five days attending the Digital Wedding Forum's annual convention.

And I'm doing it all for you :)

At the convention I'll be brushing up on my skills, learning the latest trends in wedding photography, learning about new album products and so much more.

I'll be attending over 10 seminars and classes as well as attending "The Wedding from Hell" - which is a great way for me to learn how to shoot a fabulous wedding under the most horrible of wedding day circumstances! All of this will benefit my future brides!!

I'll be learning from the best in the industry including Jerry Ghionis, Yervant, Dennis Reggie, Marcus Bell, Jessica Claire and Jesh de Rox. So while you may or may not be able to afford to hire these wedding photography geniuses, how about their student!?

I will be available by phone and email while I am away, as this is a working vacation after all.

I hope everyone enjoys their holiday! And I look forward to a fabulous and inspiring 2008 wedding season!
