Where am I going????

I will be in Tampa the weekend of January 4th. I'll be there for five days attending the Digital Wedding Forum's annual convention.

And I'm doing it all for you :)

At the convention I'll be brushing up on my skills, learning the latest trends in wedding photography, learning about new album products and so much more.

I'll be attending over 10 seminars and classes as well as attending "The Wedding from Hell" - which is a great way for me to learn how to shoot a fabulous wedding under the most horrible of wedding day circumstances! All of this will benefit my future brides!!

I'll be learning from the best in the industry including Jerry Ghionis, Yervant, Dennis Reggie, Marcus Bell, Jessica Claire and Jesh de Rox. So while you may or may not be able to afford to hire these wedding photography geniuses, how about their student!?

I will be available by phone and email while I am away, as this is a working vacation after all.

I hope everyone enjoys their holiday! And I look forward to a fabulous and inspiring 2008 wedding season!

Holiday gift idea for the photographer in your life!

This past summer I had the privilege to work with one of the industry's leading photographers - Gino Lucadamo. It was an amazing learning experience for me, and I am a better photographer for doing so.

But you don't have to be privileged to work with him personally to learn from Gino. He has a line of instructional DVDs that are really outstanding. For anyone from an avid amateur enthusiast to the professional - these DVDs run through Gino's lighting techniques which are mainly based off the Canon E-TTL flash system.

The first couple DVD's take you through an entire wedding with Gino. The third is a DVD of his wedding bootcamp workshop - it's the second best thing to actually attending. And the last couple go into more advanced lighting techniques, the wireless Canon flash system and more.

You can see previews and order them here http://www.digitalweddingpro.com/

I own all of them and watch them often!

We're having a GIRL!

Thanks everyone for your well wishes! Brian and I are happy to share that we are having a little girl.

I'm right around 5 months now, so a little less than halfway to go!

We'll be spending those winter months getting her room in order!

Here's a picture to share:

Vendor Rave - Caterer

Well, I don't usually do this, but I was blown away by the caterer at last night's wedding.

Let's not forget, I attend a wedding almost every week (and sometimes twice a week) - and so I know when a meal is above and beyond the average wedding meal.

Dan and Moira (Congratulations guys) were married last night at the Hoosic Club in Milton. And it was a wonderful venue.

They had Vinwood Caterersout of Ipswich cater the event. Fabulous! Delicious! And a nice break from many boring wedding dinners! Chicken or Beef? You didn't have to decide.

They had a fabulous salad station with Caesar salad or a cranberry walnut salad. A pasta station that included great pumpkin raviolis, and an entree station where you could have beef or chicken picatta.

Really, it was all delicious. And a nice change!

So, if any of you brides are looking for a caterer, take it from someone who eats about 30 wedding dinners a year - these guys were fabulous!!!

Okay, so I'm sure you guys would rather see some wedding pictures... I'll try and get caught up so I can post them soon!

Enjoy your week!

For dessert, in addition to the cake (and I don't know if they made the cake or not) there were chocolate cover strawberries as well as mixed berries with a decadent whipped cream to top them off. YUM!

Really, it was all delicious. And a nice change!

News

As most of my brides already know, my husband and I are expecting our first baby! We are due in April and couldn't be happier!

I'm just about 4 months now, so thankfully, I'll still be physically able to shoot my November and December weddings.

I will be taking the months of January through June off, until my first scheduled wedding on June 21st.

I will also be accepting a limited number of weddings each month next season to make sure I am able to give each couple all the attention they deserve. I am fully booked for July, September and October. I still have openings in August, November, and December.

Please contact me soon if you are interested in any 2008 dates, as I am booking up fast!

Engagement Session

I met up with Amy and Chris last week for their engagement session. We met up in Attleboro. I know Amy was looking forward to some fall colors, but with all this warm weather we had little luck! We still had a great time. Amy and Chris are a lot of fun and very photogenic.

They are getting married next October, so hopefully they'll have the fall colors for the big day!

Loren and Gregg

What a wonderful day! The weather couldn't have been more perfect. Sunny, blue skies, nice breeze - just wonderful! And Loren and Gregg had the personalities to match! Fun, sunny couple - they were such a pleasure to work with. Judging from their friends and family, seems like they'll have lots of love and support! The entire affair took place at the Five Bridge Inn in Rehoboth, MA. What a beautiful place.

The entire day was a success. I wish Loren and Gregg all the best!
